- In the 1970’s, the very First Band Office for LSIB was situated in the home of Theresa Dennis.
- In (roughly) 1973-1974, the Second Band Office was opened in what used to be an old barber shop. John Terbasket was hired as the first Band Manager.
- In 1973, the First LSIB audited statement was completed.
- In 1975, INAC devolved federal programs and service delivery to LSIB – Education, Social Development, Public Works and Housing. LSIB followed the INAC Membership regulations.
- The LSIB Administration Building moved to the present location in 1976, where an old movie theatre use to be located.
- 1984, the first computerized financial accounting system was established.
- In the early 2000’s, the LSIB Physical Development Plan was completed.
- 2004, LSIB went under remedial management of INAC voluntarily.
- Also in 2004, the LSIB Community Development Plan was completed and approved in principle.
- 2005, Draft Land Use Plan was completed.
- 2006, the first LSIB Information System server was installed.
- 2006 Chief and Council adopted in principle the Housing Policy
- 2006 Chief and Council adopted the Human Resource, Finance and Leadership Policy
- 2008 Chief and Council adopted the LSIB Community Health Plan
- 2009 Chief and completed the LSIB 5 year Business and Operational Plans for Administration, Health, Social, Education and Capital and Housing.
- 2011 Chief and Council approved the LSIB Land Use Plan
- 2011 Chief and Council revised and approved the Human Resource Policy
- 2011 Completed the Band School Road Project
- 2011 Completed the Band School 5 Kw Wind Energy Project sponsored by Terasen and Fortis
- 2011 Updated the Human Resource Policy
- 2011 LSIB Completed the Community Water System Study in partnership with Penticton and Oosoyos Band
- 2011 Constructed 7 New Homes
- 2011 Chief and Council approved the launch of a new LSIB Referral System
