The Lower Similkameen Housing Department manages the 25 social housing units and 6 band-owned rental units. The units are located on five different reserves and range from one-bedroom to five-bedroom units. The social units are under mortgage with a rental structure governed by CHMC’s Section 95 Social Housing Program.
The 5 band-owned units are located at 520 and 750 Paul Creek Rd., 745 and 791 Chopaka Road and 345 Susap Creek Road.

Home Adaptations for Seniors Independence Program (HASI)
The LSIB Housing Department offers assistance in applying to CMHC’s HASI Program. If you own your home and are 65 and over you may qualify for up to $3500.00 in renovations to improve mobility and accessability in your home.

Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP) On-Reserve

Ministerial Loan Guarantee
Chief and Council may consider approval of a ministerial guarantee to assist members with financing for house construction.
